Here is one of those stories interconnected to the regional fabric of Veneto in the 1960s, characterized by processes of social and productive advancement of a cultural and institutional nature.
A story born in an environment where the desire to do, to learn by doing, the sense of responsibility and entrepreneurship, combined with a strong sense of identity and belonging, have proven to be successful.
A story that speaks of a woman who represents many others who, like her, have never given up and have built their own future and that of their family with constant tenacity day after day; the sweet determination, the firm and convinced tenderness to continue without sparing energy and dedication always for the achievement of the well-being of their loved ones.
A story that speaks of a woman who represents many others who, like her, have never given up and have built their own future and that of their family with constant tenacity day after day; the sweet determination, the firm and convinced tenderness to continue without sparing energy and dedication always for the achievement of the well-being of their loved ones.
The story of Bruna, who meets Giuseppe, that young man who runs with his Bianchina through the streets of towns and cities to go and sell coffee and one day notices her. She who sewed with her sister, a seamstress, looked out the window with the other workers, she who went out to boil clothes with ash. She who always worked so hard to be an example, driven as she was by that enthusiastic attitude for everything; a curious, sunny and patient inclination that still animates her today when she does her utmost for her grandchildren.
And it’s clear, isn’t it? It was love at first sight and in 1965 they got married.
Afterwards, three children in three years. In the meantime “il Bepi”, as he was lovingly nicknamed, decides to set up his own business and begins to market with the help of Bruna. Bags and bags that become packages and packages, while the little De Giustis are cared for and loved with the scent of coffee in the background, an aroma that accompanies their growth, colors every event with goodness and forges their different characters, robust and decisive. And so on until 1975 when the small artisan laboratory transforms into Manuel Caffè.
And Bruna’s commitment does not diminish, on the contrary, she continues to give her irreplaceable contribution to the organization of the company that grows and grows; she becomes a pillar while continuing to take care of her children as they grow up, as only a woman can do. With her gaze always attentive to the needs of each person and her reassuring firmness in the face of commitments and obstacles, she encourages her children to express their unique personalities by helping them discover the world in a practical but independent way. And so, always at her husband’s side, she trains them for life, supporting them with comfort and determination to allow them to conquer things on their own, to make them grow strong and free.
With the eyes of memory we see her speeding on that white 500 of hers, the one that Bepi gave her, while she goes back and forth between school and work, tireless, always running up and down the streets of Conegliano. Day after day, year after year until her children, one after the other, pick up the baton, embracing the family vocation.
This is who Bruna is, a strong woman, a worker, one of those who take control of situations and already know that everything will work out for the best. A woman who knew how to believe in the man she chose as a life partner, but above all in herself. A matriarch who today smiles proudly as she gathers the whole family together for lunch every day. And so she instills in her children and grandchildren the harmony and value of a united family. And her children and grandchildren reciprocate by enjoying her lunches in which she favors frank and sincere recipes, like her.
A mother, a wife, a woman who has determined the growth of a production reality that today reaches more than 50 countries with exclusive distributors who are true partners promoting the quality of Italian coffee, of Manuel Caffè, in the world.
La Bruna and Bepi: two hearts and a bean. Forever.
